What we’re all about

Cachapas y Mas is a family owned and operated restaurant dedicated to serving fresh, traditional Venezuelan staples in a warm and casual setting. Since 2008, we have made it our mission to offer New Yorkers a taste of Venezuela’s most iconic dishes. We take pride in our unique Venezuelan street food menu - think buns made out of fried plantains filled with slow roasted pork and sweet corn pancakes filled with mouthwatering Venezuelan cheese.

What began as an audacious venture when former cabbie Larry Villalobos traded up his taxi for a food truck, has become a growing restaurant that now calls the neighborhoods of Inwood and Ridgewood home.

Over the years our beloved dishes – like our perfectly fried Arepas (cornmeal patties), Tequenos, Patacones (green plantain sandwiches) and Cachapas (sweet corn pancakes) - have earned us a loyal following, as well as recognition from renown publications such as The New York Times, Village Voice, The Daily News and The Manhattan Times. Cachapas y mas aims to provide people with a high quality experience and meal, at a reasonable price. Whether you’re nostalgic for a taste of home or just seeking an authentic culinary experience, Cachapas Y Mas can deliver.
